Happy Father's Day from The Zachos Team!
Father’s Day is a perfect opportunity to show appreciation to fathers, grandfathers, and other important paternal figures in your life. In order to help you show the fathers in your life how much you care, here are a few places you can go.
Within Metro-Atlanta, Zoo Atlanta is a fun visit for the whole family. Visitors can see over 70 type of animals, including high-flying birds, slithering reptiles, and exciting mammals. The zoo encourages conservation in engaging ways, making for a learning experience for all ages.
Six Flags Over Georgia is perfect for thrill-seekers. With a dozen roller coasters and even more rides on top of that, Six Flags is sure to be a hit for the whole family.
For the nature loving dads out there, Sweetwater Creek State Park is a perfect spot near the Metro-Atlanta Area. Located in Douglas County, the park offers miles of hiking trails as well as a historic old mill on the banks of the river. It’s a great option for a quick day trip to a natural area.
Stone Mountain is another great outdoor attraction just outside the city limits. Over a thousand feet tall, the mountain is a sight to behold. You can take a cable car for easy access to the top, or for the more adventurous, hike a trail directly up the side of the mountain. Either way, you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of the Atlanta skyline from above. Paul and his son used to take this hike all the time, making it one of his personal favorites.
