The Zachos Team is proud to operate all across Atlanta, but sometimes it can be hard to know where in the city to start looking for what you need. We’ll be going through each section of the city to let you know exactly what to expect, and today we’re covering Midtown.
Midtown is perhaps the most well-known section of Atlanta, encompassing many of its most iconic attractions. Towering skyscrapers, major interstates, and staples of Atlanta culture all converge here. The Beltline doesn’t connect to Midtown as much as you’d think, on account of its centralized location, but it does connect to one key outdoor space: Piedmont Park.
Located in the heart of Atlanta and slightly east, Piedmont Park is a powerhouse when it comes to urban greenspace. With over 200 acres of land and millions of visitors each year, the park offers an incredible getaway for locals and a blank slate for any event you can think of. Piedmont Park has hosted Music Midtown, an electrifying music festival right in the middle of the city, and will also host Shaky Knees in 2025 as well as hundreds of other events throughout the year. It’s also the site of Atlanta Botanical Garden, an area focused on preserving and maintaining unique plant collections. You can take a stroll around the gardens and see natural and manmade sights alike, one of the latter being the impressive Earth Goddess sculpture.
If you’re looking to experience more of the arts, the High Museum of Art is the place to be. The High Museum is an impressive structure in its own right, the glossy white building making quite an impression on the Atlanta skyline. But inside is the real treasure: the museum hosts over 20,000 pieces of art in a wide variety of mediums, making sure to scratch that itch regardless of your forte. The museum offers plenty of regular events as well, including guided tours and even summer camps for the kids. If you’re looking to see part of the artistic culture Atlanta is known for, this is the place to be.
If you’re looking for more artistic value in a different form, the Fox Theatre might be your cup of tea. This impressive venue on the south side of Midtown hosts regular live performances like musicals, concerts, and more. Be sure to give this spot a look if you’re in the mood for a more active performance.
Finally, if you’re looking for a way to combine all of that culture with a one-stop shop for commercial and residential space, then look no further than Atlantic Station. This high-end neighborhood is a gem of not just Midtown, but all of Atlanta. A walkable downtown area features luxury stores, mouth-watering restaurants, and a Regal movie theater, along with sought-after apartments right in the middle. The cultural landmarks we’ve seen before are present here as well; multiple museums including the eye-popping Museum of Illusions are present to add some spice to a place that already has everything you could ask for. There’s even a perfect outdoor area nearby: the Millennium Gate Museum. An event venue and celebration of classical architecture, the Millennium Gate is located just on the outskirts of Atlantic Station, and includes an impressive arch feature, a beautiful pond, and a bridge that goes right over it.
With all this in mind, it’s no surprise why Midtown has cemented itself as a staple of Atlanta. If you feel like you’re ready to take the next step and make this incredible area your home, contact The Zachos Team and we can get you on track. Our decades of experience in the Atlanta area mean we can find you the perfect place for you and your family, even right in the heart of the city.
